It’s Spring! Things are finally warming up and your fingers can’t hide behind those mittens any longer. (Talk about a warm weather fashion faux pas.) So, brighten things up now that it’s no longer dark at 5pm with the best spring nail design ideas.
After enough months of dark nail colors, we’re ready to embrace everything from pastels and bright rainbows to Easter bunnies and flowers that’ll make you feel like frolicking through the fields. To that end, we’ve found tons of cute Spring nail art ideas for everybody. Everybody with nails at least. Sorry, Nemo.
While many designs stay popular from year to year, others, like diagonal french tips, color-blocked minimalist designs, and vintage nail art inspired by 70s embrace current spring trends about as intensely as we embrace our morning coffee.
1. Daisy Nails
If you can’t go to Bonnaroo, bring Bonnaroo to you with these pastel daisy nails. Nail artist Charlotte created these flower power spring nails using The GelBottle Inc in June, Pastel V005, Caipirinha, Peach Daiquiri, Queen Bee + Sealight.
2. Easter Bunny Nails
Dee designed these Easter nails using Duri Cosmetics in Cotton Candy Sky and Speck-tacular Me. Which reminds us, we need to make those Cotton Candy Peeps Rice Krispie Treats again.
3. Robin Egg Manicure
You too can turn your nails into mini eggs like nail artist Abi. Now, your fingers will have their own camouflage when they dip into that candy bowl again.
4. Pastel Matte Press-On Nails
If painting on simple nail polish is more coordination than you can handle, honestly same. These multi-colored matte pastel press-on nails by EchoTangoNails are perfect. Order us a set while you’re at it, will ya?
5. Over the Rainbow Nails
Nail artist Natalie Holt created these rainbow nails that are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, Pride, or just saying scram to winter. Yes, we also yell at clouds in our off time. What of it?
6. Flowery Press-on Nails
Remember when you used to smash flowers in a book and leave them there to rot? This is pretty much the same idea, but way prettier. Pick up these babies on Etsy and meet us at the pool.
7. Cherry Nails
These pastel cherries are created by Danni and remind us how pitted fruit are the pits.
8. Spring Mountain Nails
Don’t ever let anyone tell you can’t hike and have perfect nails. Coincidentally this look by The Nail Lady Lincoln is what we saw when we last went on a hike and forgot to bring snacks and water. So what if it was just a mile long!
9. Easter Bunny Nail Tips
If you’re nervous about trying nail art, just avoid faces like Danni did. And, if the bunny heads don’t turn out, just paint the whole nail white.
10. Floral Nails
Sure these nails by Ewa might make you look like a University of Michigan fan who really loves Vera Bradley. But, are we wrong?
11. 90s Nails
These teal and hot pink 90s nails were made for snacking on Dunkaroos while you organize your Caboodle.
12. Orange Spring Manicure
Who needs a traditional manicure when you can have this fruity one? If you need us we’ll be over here inhaling citrus blossoms.
16. Hand-Painted Disney Alice in Wonderland Nails
These nails probably took about as long to paint as the original animation cels. Good thing we won’t be chewing on one of those.
17. Trippy Alice In Wonderland Nail Art
For a slightly more “mushroom-inspired” take on Alice in Wonderland. We’re not saying it’s perfect for Coachella, but we’re not not either.
18. Pastel Square French Manicure
No we’re not showing you our search history. We will give you some spring nail inspo with these square French tips, though.
19. Spring Los Angeles Manicure
This is what LA looks like every day in case you were wondering. On the days it’s not raining.
20. Speckled Neon Easter Bunny Nail Art
When you love Easter, but just can’t get into that pastel vibe.
21. Bambi Nail Art
We’re all twitterpated over these Bambi nails.
22. Pink and Green 90s Nails
These pink and green color-blocked nails will match perfectly with that Powerpuff Girls tattoo we totally don’t regret.
23. Purple Bee Nails
Oh hey bee. Do you need some sugar water? How about a nice flower to rest on? Us to play Bee Movie again?
24. Pastel Goth Spring Nails
These pink and green pastel ombre nails have a bit of that Halloween soft goth vibe. But not like emo goth. Because no.
25. 70s Nail Art
Great for Coachella unless you don’t want your bag searched.
26. Lord of the Rings Spring Nails
For those rainy spring days when you don’t know what else to wear, these elvish nails should give you a hint. Fern Gully? How did you know?
27. Hot Pink Spring Flowers
We’re loving this nail design approach that features nail art on two accent fingers. We also love that it’s much cheaper that a full set.
28. Spring Pastel Flower Nails
See! It even works with spring pastels. Miranda July would be delighted? Horrified? We never know.
29. Easter Bunny Face Nails
Are these almond heart-shaped bunnies groundbreaking for Spring? No. Are they cute and will we get them anyway? Yes.
30. Square Tipped Ombre Nails
These are bordering on being summer nails, so wait until late April to get them. Or, if you live in the Midwest, June.
31. Baby Blue French Tips
The current trend in French Manicures is to paint the sides with polish, not just the top. Mix and match them with other springtime nail art designs like flowers. Or bugs. Those are awake now.
32. Neon Spring Nails
No one said spring had to come in all soft and stuff. Stand out with these neon nails emblazoned with hearts, smiley faces, and checkerboards.
33. Diagonal French Tips
Same same but different.
34. Neon Pink and Green Floral Nails
In case you missed the memo, this year’s color trend is hot pink and green. Oh, sorry, we forgot to send the attachment.
35. Hot Pink Barbie Nails with 70s Flower Nail Art
And maybe the occasional splash of yellow.
